Tortilla chip plan to add line

Two years after it opened in Lincoln County, the R.W. Garcia tortilla chip plant is preparing to increase production. The company’s operation in Lincoln County Industrial Park will add about 10 employees to its 35-person work force, says Greg Huffstetler, plant manager. The expansion will add a second production line to the 60,650 square foot plant, but the facility won’t expand. The second line is scheduled to start operation in October. Production at the $5 million plant began in 2004.
