HUBER Technology, Inc Relocating Headquarters to Airlie Business Park

August 9, 2018, Lincoln County, NC –

A Lincoln County Industrial Incentive Grant request was presented Monday night, August 6th, to the board of commissioners by Lincoln Economic Development Association on behalf of HUBER Technology, Inc.  Currently located in Mecklenburg County, HUBER has purchased property in Airlie Business Park in Denver to relocate their head-quarter functions initially and as a second phase, begin manufacturing operations in Lincoln County. The North American member of the HUBER group, the parent company, HUBER SE is based out of Germany. HUBER’s business is to manufacture equipment that serves the municipal and industrial wastewater market.

The need for a manufacturing operation is driving the move to Lincoln County. “The construction of our manufacturing facility comes at a time when demand for HUBER solutions has hit an all-time high across the globe, and HUBER Technology, Inc. has decided to rise to meet that challenge. Strategically positioned and poised to deliver the product on increasingly demanding deadlines, HUBER Technology, Inc. is confident that the opening of a manufacturing facility not only serves the needs of local customers but also contributes in the growth of the company as a whole,” states Henk-Jan van Ettekoven, President of HUBER Technology.

“HUBER has been in discussions with Lincoln Economic Development Association for almost a year, and we are pleased to announce they will be relocating their North American headquarter operations to Lincoln County and Airlie Business Park in Denver. We appreciate their faith in our people, our business climate and we welcome them to our community,” offers Joe Lampron, Lincoln Economic Development Association’s chairman.

At the Monday night commissioner’s meeting, Commission Chairman, Bill Beam, made a special effort to welcome Henk-Jan van Ettekoven with HUBER, to Lincoln County. Chairman Beam offered, “we are very pleased to welcome you to Lincoln County and look forward to serving you in multiple capacities in the future.”

Based on the anticipated eleven million dollar investment in Lincoln County by Huber, commissioners awarded the company a Level II incentive grant that is only fulfilled after the investment amount is satisfied. Huber plans to bring all of their existing jobs with them to Lincoln County and expects to add to the company headcount once the manufacturing component is in production.
