Six industries receive LEDA honors

Industries that have made their mark on Lincoln County over the years were honored Thursday. The Lincoln Economic Development Association presented six local industries with Milestone Achievement Awards during Thursday’s banquet. It’s the second year LEDA has recognized industries that have been in the county for five, 10, 15, 20 or more years, in increments of five. “It’s becoming very significant even at five years to be in business these days in industry,” said Barry Matherly, executive director of LEDA. LeeBoy and Wireway Huskey were recognized for being in Lincoln County for 25 years. Hof Textiles, McMurray Fabrics and Packaging Unlimited received awards for 15 years of work. And the newest award winner, RSI Distribution, was lauded for being in the county for five years. Representatives from each industry received a plaque. “We hope that you’ll be here a long time to come,” said Harold Howard, Jr. LEDA’s chairman.
