Sabo USA Holds Ribbon Cutting

Sabo USA, Inc. celebrated its first North American facility with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of its new 30,000 square-foot facility in the Lincoln County Industrial Park today.

Pete Acker, Lincoln Economic Development Association Chairperson, Tom Anderson, Lincoln County Commissioners Chairman, and Bobby Huitt, Mayor, City of Lincolnton, welcomed the Brazilian manufacturer set to invest about $18 million locally. The company projects about 100 jobs at the facility over the next two years and a $10 million investment over the next three to four years. Panico Peres, Director of Operations, Sabo USA, Inc., shared his excitement with the crowd of company leaders, employees, community officials and special guests who attended the celebration.

According to Jose Eduardo, President and CEO of the Sabo Group, the company chose to locate its first manufacturing plant in the U.S. so they could accommodate the growth in the North American market and get closer to customers. Sabo USA, Inc. is one of only three manufacturers of the bonded piston seals to be made on site.
