RSI Home Products Expanded to One Million Square Feet

RSI Home Products, a manufacturer of bath cabinetry and countertops, celebrated the completion of its 225,000 square foot expansion on Friday August 30th with a ribbon cutting ceremony including guests and employees. The second expansion to RSI’s facility in less than 10 years brought the overall total space to over 1 million square feet.  This expansion allowed the consolidation of manufacturing and distribution operations under one roof and eliminated the movement of product between two facilities.

Alex Patton, Chair of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners, offered, “The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners would like to congratulate RSI on their recent expansion. Their commitment to Lincoln County has been shown time and time again. In spite of an economic crisis in our country RSI has continued to surpass all expectations. We are honored to have them as a corporate citizen here in Lincoln County. We would also like to thank LEDA for all of their efforts in continuing to make our county the ideal place to call home for a multitude of businesses with hopefully many more to follow.
We are excited anytime more of our citizens can work in our own county. Again thanks RSI for your commitment and we are excited about what the future holds for you and for Lincoln County.”

LEDA Chairman, Bo King supports RSI’s commitment as well, “This expansion is a positive reinforcement of a decision made by RSI many years ago when the conclusion was reached to expand their business and begin operations on the east coast. RSI’s continued investment in Lincoln County to provide jobs and support the tax base is a great contribution to Lincoln County.”

“Since its original expansion in the Lincoln County Industrial Park in 2004, RSI is pleased to be adding an additional 225,000 square feet increasing its facility to one million square feet,” said Robert Hunter, VP of Manufacturing-East Coast.

Selling primarily to the home center industry, RSI is corporately located in Anaheim California. In a strategic move, RSI purchased Lincolnton based General Marble in 1998 and assumed their existing operations in Lincolnton. Since then, RSI has seen continued growth and now is the largest manufacturing employer in Lincoln County with over 800 employees. “Lincoln County continues to be a great place for RSI to operate and this recent expansion is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of all our associates,” added Jeff Hoeft, President and COO.

The Keith Corporation of Charlotte, NC is owner and developer, Choate Construction acted as general contractor and Merriman-Schmitt worked as the project architect.
