R. W. Garcia Plans Warehouse Expansion
Lincolnton, NC-Lincoln Economic Development Association requested approval of an Economic Incentive Grant for an existing industry at the Monday, July 16th, 2012, Lincoln County Commissioners meeting. The request was presented on behalf of R. W. Garcia Co, Inc., a major manufacturer of over 125 varieties of organic and, all natural corn-based snack foods. Garcia is seeking to expand its plant in the Lincoln County Industrial Park to allow for additional warehouse space and support a significant increased demand in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Based out of San Jose, California, the companies’ only east coast facility was opened in Lincolnton in 2004. The planned expansion of 30,000 square feet of warehouse space will be added to the existing 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility. Once the expansion is complete, R. W. Garcia expects to hire an additional 15 to 20 people. Although contracting is still underway, R. W. Garcia Co. intends to hire local contractors to complete the expansion by December 2012.
