Lincoln County Awarded Kirk & Matz Project

Kirk & Matz announced today that it would open a new 16,200, square foot facility in the Denver Business Park. The company plans to invest approximately $3,000,000 in the facility and community, initially hiring at least four individuals to join the current staff of five. Kirk & Matz officially opened December 11, 2006.

Founded in 1946 by Herman V. Matz, Kirk & Matz is a three-generation-old family owned business. The company is a wholesale business specializing in supplying personalized awards and gifts to corporations and PGA professionals.

Kirk & Matz officials not only found Lincoln County to be the perfect place for working, but also the perfect place for living. The company’s current headquarters in Danbury, Connecticut will be relocated to Denver, along with the company’s founding family. Said company President Victor H. Matz, “We did a lot of research on the pros and cons of many different sections of the country, but one visit to the Denver area and we knew this was the place we wanted to invest our future. The business friendly atmosphere and extremely helpful staff at Lincoln Economic Development Association (LEDA) made the transition easy and hassle free.”

Lincoln Economic Development Association along with the Charlotte Regional Partnership (CRP) worked with Kirk & Matz to bring the company to Denver. “Lincoln County’s low cost of doing business and high quality of life continue to attract companies from the North East like Kirk & Matz. This company will be a great addition to east Lincoln,” commented Barry Matherly, executive director of LEDA.
