INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL SELECTS COMMITTEE CHAIR

The Nominating Committee of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has elected Barry Matherly, Executive Director of the Lincoln Economic Development Association in Lincolnton, North Carolina, as Chairperson of the Planning and Business Development Committee. The election took place during IEDC’s 2010 Annual Conference, which was held September 26-29 in Columbus, Ohio. The Committee is accountable for developing and leading the Board’s participation in all IEDC planning, including annual budget preparation and for overseeing the development of financial resources. It also oversees the International and Sustainability Advisory Committees.

The Planning and Business Development Committee Chair is also a member of the 8 person Governance Committee responsible for the management and coordination of the Board as IEDC’s governing body.
