Filter Supplier Opens in Lincolnton

An industrial filter operation has opened in Lincoln County, with the company investing $500,000 and creating 12 new jobs. Allied Separation Technology Inc., which is owned by Mike and Lorie Williams, assembles air-oil separation filters that are used in industrial air compressors and refrigeration equipment. Customers for the filters, which range in price from $25 to $1,000, include Ingersoll-Rand Co. and Atlas Copco AB. Mike Williams, Allied Separation president, used to sell such filters for an industrial parts reseller. “We decided to make the parts that we sell,” says Lorie Williams, company vice president. She expects the business to grow to 50 employees within two years. Allied Separation is leasing the 30,000 square-foot former Fabrictex building at 1652 South Industrial Park Road. Fabrictex relocated to a larger facility in Lincoln County.
