Robert Bosch Tool Corporation ~ Lincolnton Manufacturing Division, announced today it will expand its operations in Lincolnton, North Carolina. Bosch has plans to add a manufacturing line to produce insert bits. The company expects to invest over $3,000,000 in the project and create at least 50 new jobs at the Lincolnton facility.

“We are working hard to capitalize on the opportunity to expand the Bosch power tools accessory business here in Lincolnton,” said David Lee, plant manager for Lincolnton, Robert Bosch Tool Corporation. “Being able to work with officials in Lincolnton and in Lincoln County to earn these incentive grants will help us ensure our growth is successful.”

The company will receive incentive grants totaling approximately $44,500 from the city and $48,000 from the county. Jeff Emory, Lincolnton city manager commented, “This project illustrates the pro-industrial climate that currently exists in the City of Lincolnton. The city commends Bosch for investing in the Lincolnton community and providing quality jobs for our citizens.”

“We are very pleased that Bosch has decided to increase their commitment to the economy of Lincoln County by this proposed expansion. I believe this confirms that Lincoln County is a business friendly environment and the support we endeavor to provide our existing business partners is recognized and rewarded. This expansion will provide further economic opportunity for our citizens with a highly respected firm,” commented Tom Anderson, chairman of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.

Today’s news follows a previous announcement by Bosch indicating the company would invest almost $2,000,000 to add manufacturing lines and hire 45 new associates at the company’s Lincolnton manufacturing facility.
