Cliff Brumfield Appointed Executive Director, Lincoln Economic Development Association

Lincoln County, NC – The Lincoln Economic Development Association (LEDA) announces the appointment of Cliff Brumfield to the position of Executive Director effective January 2013.

Mr. Brumfield comes to LEDA from Lincoln County, Mississippi where he served as Executive Vice President and Director of the Brookhaven Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and the Lincoln County Industrial Development Foundation. Cliff has served as the chief economic development official for these communities since 2005. Cliff brings over 14 years experience leading economic development agencies at the City/County level in Mississippi. In addition, Cliff brings experience as a small business owner/manager. He successfully turned around a bankrupt Performance Tire Center in Greenwood MS, and managed a family-owned 680 acre tree farm and wildlife habitat. Cliff also spent a few years in banking as a senior loan officer for a regional bank where he managed a $16 million loan portfolio.

Cliff was recently elected as President of the Mississippi Economic Development Council which serves as the voice for the states economic and community development and chamber of commerce professionals and their constituents. He was also appointed to lead the 10-County regional economic development organization known as the Southwest MS Partnership. Brumfield earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Mississippi State University.

Cliff and his wife, Rachel have two daughters ages 9 and 14. They are looking forward to relocating to Lincoln County early next year.
