Wireway/Husky Sponsors ‘Chocolate Factory’ January 16-19

The Lincoln Theatre Guild with Wireway/Husky will present the production “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” at the Lincoln Cultural Center January 16-19 in Lincolnton. Who wouldn’t want to join Charlie Bucket in his adventurous tour of Willy Wonka’s world-famous Chocolate Factory? See Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregarde, Veruca Salt, Grandpa George, Grandma Georgina, Willy Wonka and Charlie himself come to life. All involved will discover the true meaning of teamwork, self-confidence and self-esteem. Each character promotes a special understanding of other people as they (and you) experience a chocolate-candy fantasy. Performances are Thursday, January 16 through Saturday, January 18 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, January 19 matinee at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for seniors (60 and over) and students. Tickets are available by calling 704-735-2281 or at the door. Reservations are suggested but not required. Season tickets are also available for all performances by the Guild. Future plays include Southern Fried Murder (dinner theater) in February with a special Denver performance at Salem United Methodist Church on February 28. Driving Miss Daisy in April, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum in June. Cost for season tickets is $45 for adults and $38 for seniors and students.
