Lincolnton, NC – Lincoln County Commissioners agreed Monday night, at the August 6th commissioner’s meeting, to approve an Economic Incentive Grant for Brazillian autoparts manufacturer, Sabo USA. Kara Brown, Existing Business Manager for Lincoln Economic Development Association, presented the request on behalf of Sabo.

Sabo Group, the Brazilian family-owned parent company of Sabo USA, was founded in 1942 and has grown to be a multinational company with net revenue of $350 million in US dollars. In 2007, Sabo USA was opened in Lincoln County within the Lincoln County Industrial Park. A world leader in their multiple areas of automotive expertise, Sabo USA, specifically produces rotating shaft seals, as well as, rod and piston seals. This equipment expansion is planned to support the demand for increased capacity in production. Sabo plans to add an additional 12 jobs paying weekly wages of $400.00.

Marcio Lima, with Sabo USA, emphasized the importance of this investment, “I believe it is important to mention that Sabo Group keeps its investments strategically in North Carolina to support the growth in North America. We still have a huge potential to grow, as our market share is still small.”

Sabo USA manufactures and ships to customer locations within the US and to parts all over the world including: Poland, Korea, Mexico and China. At the Lincoln County facility, Sabo employs 120 people.
