Racing Supplier to Relocate and Expand in East Lincoln

Calico Coatings announced plans today to invest $1,500,000 in a new manufacturing facility in Lincoln County, North Carolina. The 20,000 square foot facility will be built in the new Balsom Ridge Business Park off Highway 16 in Denver, North Carolina. Construction is expected to begin in January, 2007 with a tentative completion date in October, 2007.

Just north of Denver, NC, Balsom Ridge Business Park is the newest park in Lincoln County. All 18 lots are pre-graded with lighted streets and covenants.

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners once again demonstrated their belief in the importance of economic development by passing an incentive grant for Calico Coatings. The company will receive approximately $28,000 in incentives. The incentive grant will be paid out in equal installments over a five year period.

Tom Anderson, chairman of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners commented, “We are pleased that Calico Coatings has enjoyed success in Lincoln County and have elected to construct their new manufacturing facility in Lincoln County. This is a very unique firm that we are proud to have as a corporate citizen. The quality of their work is highly respected in the performance industry and they have contributed significantly to recognition of Lincoln County as a good place for other firms in that industry sector to locate their facilities. We wish Calico Coatings continued success and appreciate their contribution to the economy of Lincoln County.”

Today’s announcement is further indication of the growing strength of east Lincoln as a preferred location in the performance racing industry. “Existing companies such as Calico Coatings are continuing to prosper in eastern Lincoln County. The county’s pro-business attitude and close proximity to the heart of racing make it an ideal location for racing suppliers” commented Laura Foor, existing business manager with Lincoln Economic Development Association.
