Industry Milestones Celebrated by LEDA

Lincoln County industries celebrate years of success

Lincolnton, NC – Lincoln Economic Development Association hosted its seventh annual Milestone Achievement Awards Luncheon on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Lincolnton Country Club; recognizing manufacturers, distributors and the motor sports industry in the City of Lincolnton as well as Lincoln County for their past, present and future commitment to the County.

Ronnie Bryant, President and CEO of the Charlotte Regional Partnership, was guest speaker for the awards event. With more than 30 years experience in economic development, Mr. Bryant has lectured internationally and nationally. In his role at the CRP, Ronnie promotes the 16-county Charlotte, North Carolina region as a location for expanding and relocating businesses; including Lincoln County. Ronnie shared with the Milestone Achievement recipients, industry representatives and business community leaders the purpose of the Charlotte Regional Partnership. Additionally, he offered insight into emerging trends and opportunities in economic development from within the region.

Present to assist in the recognition of the Milestone Achievement Recipients for this year and special guests and were, Chairman of the County Commissioners, Alex Patton and Mayor of Lincoln County, John Gilleland.

Those industries present to receive their 2011 Milestone Achievement Awards: Kirk & Matz, 5 years; Sabo USA, 5 years; The Walking Company, 5 Years; Modacam Inc., 10 years; Hof Textiles, 20 years; McMurray Fabrics, 20 years; Packaging Unlimited, 20 years; Lincolnton-Lincoln County Regional Airport, 25 years; VT LeeBoy, 30 years; Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, 35 years; Dellinger Precast, 40 years.

In addition to the awards that were presented at the ceremony there were others who achieved this milestone as well. Corrie Stott Racing, 5 years; Metal Roofing Systems, 10 years; Vaseleniuck Engine Development, 10 years; Performance Sail, 10 years; Collins Engine Works, 10 years; and Wireway Husky Corporation, 30 years.
