International Appreciation Event at Vesuvius Vineyards
Flags flew high Thursday night, October 28th, at the Lincoln Economic Development Association International Appreciation Reception at Vesuvius Vineyards. In celebration of the eight international countries operating in Lincoln County, attendees dined on a variety of native entrees, sides and desserts from across the world. Recognized during the evening were the countries of: Austria, Australia, Brazil, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Japan and Singapore. The International Reception finished off a month long tribute to the variety of industries operating in Lincoln County and the impact their presence has on the local economy. A signature event and anticipated by many, Chef Nancy Pinkerton, researches for months while determining the menu which she chooses to serve. Additionally, she takes great effort to find ingredients original to the dishes and works to make them as authentic as possible. The event is highly regarded because of the work Chef Pinkerton puts into certifying the details. As she puts it, “it’s really important that everything is authentic as possible because, guess what? These people know.” In addition to the international delegation of industries, elected officials and representatives from the city and county offices, special recognition was given to Wayne Cooper, Honorary Consul to Mexico. The International Reception offers the opportunity to bring those with interests locally and from around the world together in celebration of a common economic purpose.
