Active Concepts, LLC, Diversifies Lincolnton’s Job Market

Lincoln County becomes more diverse day by day. Adding to the diversity Lincoln Economic Development Association announces that Active Concepts, LLC, a cosmetic raw materials manufacturing company with their research facility located in South Plainfield, NJ will locate a new manufacturing facility on Lithia Inn Road in Lincolnton. “We work hard at LEDA to bring new and diverse companies that will give the citizens of Lincoln County an opportunity to work closer to home”, said Rhonda Hunter, Director of Operations who continues to work with the company for an expected January 2006 opening.

Active Concepts, LLC was established December 20th in 2000 as a cosmetic raw materials manufacturing company. Key strengths in product development form the foundation for developing new and novel raw materials as well as new technologies.

Roberto Pellegrino, the new General Manager said “As a rapidly growing company we are excited to work with such a dynamic and supportive community. The services offered by LEDA were instrumental in our decision to move to Lincolnton”.

Active Concepts focus is on the development and manufacture of specialty raw materials with a strong emphasis on the development of innovative technologies that will advance the Cosmetics Industry. As the first link in the cosmetic manufacturing chain, Active Concepts understands the importance of the development of new raw materials that are not only innovative, but also efficacious.

Rosie Rivera, the Director of Manufacturing said “We are very enthusiastic about tapping into the resources offered here in Lincoln County. The local skilled workforce as well as the opportunities represented by the proximity of UNC should allow us a solid platform for growth”.
